My main gripe is that I don’t like the little girls face, it pisses me off. Regardless it was decent, but I much, much prefer the first half.

1st half was creative and stylish, second half dropped that completely and that ruins it for me. First half was visually amazing &unique

'Léon: The Professional', but sprinkled with a whole lot of fantasy. I was expecting something generic and cheap but was pleasantly surprised by what Fuller did here. From the directing, writing, and production to the acting, designs, and soundtrack. Mikkelsen, Weaver, Dastmalchian, Atim, and even the little girl were all utilised brilliantly. The humour was refreshingly good, and so was the pacing. I loved how balanced the R rating felt too. It’s definitely a little scary for kids, but I’m sure they’d get through it fine. It’s a plus for the adults in the room, for sure.

Tried to combine bed time stories with an action movie and it just turned into a boring sloppy mess.

The first 20 min I was really thinking Id end up hating this movie. Thankfully a bit of plot and character development started kicking in and by the end I could say I enjoyed it. Didnt love it, but I enjoyed it.

A film I had the honor of seeing back in October at the Telluride Horror Show and even got to hear the director speak about the film a bit. You can tell it was a passion project for him and he says the inspiration for the film was 80s family films like the Goonies and Gremlins. I will be transparent, didn't really get that for the film but it is defiantly bursting with creative and stylization. This is one I didn't expect to be as funny as it was rather than scary, I would say it's more of a thriller. It has so much personality and heart and the visuals are breathtaking. It had people of the festival talking a lot. I don't know how it'll do in theaters but I would go see it if you want a hilarious good time.

the whole time, i was questioning what time period this was in. it was like a mixture of old yet modern stuff, which made the movie really colorful and unique, looks wise

perfectly absurd, funny , a bit creepy

Kind of a mashup between Pans Labyrinth and The Professional with a set designed by Wes Anderson. I really liked the uncertainty created, where you’re questioning what is real and what isn’t. Good plot, pacing, & humor. I can’t quite love it but there’s definitely a lot to like.

so so so weird but amazing cinematography, good humor, good soundtrack, and all together an amazing absurdist movie! loved the set design and lighting choices, mix of retro and modern themes contributed to the absurdist plot and mis en scene. 10/10

71/100 script needed some cleanup I think. Most interesting character was the child services person - rest seemed to be just acting for the pay check

This film just wasn’t for me. Not a horrible premise, but the production and script absolutely bored me.
