I have not read many Judge Dredd comics, but the movie seemed like a great introduction for anyone interested in starting to read the comics. At the same time it is also a fun action packed movie, and can be enjoyed just as much without any background knowledge.

That was fucking awesome. Surprised nobody talks about it. Banger.

Outrageously gory and violent, but gripping. Surprisingly close to the original comic series (yes, I grew up with them).

Horrible acting. Horrible graphics. Horrible writing. Horrible plot. Still pretty entertaining. Would highly recommend.

Criminally underrated movie, the writers did a great job and Karl Urban did an amazing job portraying judge Dredd. The execution between the 1995 version (staring Sylvester Stallone) and this one is clear as day. This version is WAYYY better.

better than the Stallone version! Less camp by a mile but some pretty kickass action sequences and Rob Schneider is nowhere to be seen thank god

Dystopian Action with a delectable taste for slow-mo and multi-use weaponry.

Urban is the obvious choice. Thirlby is excellent. Ultra violence, cyberpunk and good one man army. Sets were a little repetitive.

I had never heard of this character before watching this movie but I think that this was a perfectly fine introduction - one of my favorite Karl urban performances prolly outside of billy butcher - the action is fun and the fantasy elements are nicely integrated with the story
