This film could’ve been great, and the first 70% of it was. But the last 30% felt like it was written by someone else, and it was awful. A real shame.

This movie made me so sad in the best way possible
(But during Molly’s scene, I had to literally hide under my coat)

wow, that was weird. Looks and feels so bizarre and Nic Cage has the perfect face for the role. His acting was phenomenal too, I think one of his best performances.

Nicolas Cage appearing in people’s dreams and ending up a victim of cancel culture? Inject this into my veins!

Hmm, idk bout this one tbh. The trailer made it seem like a horror, but the start of the movie was a comedy then went into horror (quite suddenly and almost out of nowhere) then sci-fi? It’s like pick a genre. Also felt kinda rushed and I wish they went more into the actual dream scenario and less onto the weird cancel culture narrative cause that made the movie kinda bad. Cause it’s a weird thing to focus on ngl. Like feels random as fuck.

I really wish this was just a creepy movie and not something set out to bash cancel culture and gen z. pretty tacky.

such a strange movie, but it feels like movies like this are inevitable now
with how easy it is to randomly get thrust into fame and have it go horribly wrong, i think this was a pretty interesting take on it for sure
nic cage is amazing as always, he really sells being pathetic

Really great writing & I didn’t know it at the time but definitely could tell ari aster was behind it somehow! I love the weirdo characters & odd storyline & how it’s a metaphor for over-night sensations that go viral for seemingly no reason at all and how quickly luv turns 2hate

Narrowly avoided a meh

7/10 this movie was so weird I guess a horror in the sense of it being something no one wants to happen but not really a scary movie. However it was so bizarre I liked it.

I liked the premise of this movie a lot, and I felt like it was a scary but realistic warning of where society is headed in the future. First half was definitely better than the last. I loved seeing Cage, he was perfect for this role.

6/10 (changed my rating after discovering ari aster was not the director lmao)
-i expected more based on the trailer, but it was fine
-nobody could’ve played paul better than nic cage and i stand by that
-hated that it was literally just a commentary on cancel culture
