Interesting sword & sorcery film with a unique somber atmosphere and Welsh/Scottish aesthetic. Great practical effects. The acting is less than inspiring on the whole but not abysmal. I'm not sure the twist ending was what the story needed & it seemed to come out of left field.

It's not the most exciting fantasy out there. Idk if it really holds any rewatch value, but it's worth one watch at least. Characters are decent, and effects are a product of its time, but they are also decent.

Could have been decent. To many bad effects and plot holes.

I’m a sucker for all things fantasy and dragon related, then you go and add that with crazy visuals and costumes. Can’t hate it

Production values are top-notch and commendable with all the practical effects, but sadly I wasn’t all that intrigued with the story. The third act somewhat made this watchable. I don’t see myself revisiting it.

I went into this movie completely blind, having never seen nor heard anything about it. The use of practical effects are fantastic and almost all of them hold up. There were only a couple of scenes that looked a little wonky, but for a 40 year old movie that’s to be expected.

Good for its era. Special effects were what you’d expect back then.
