I didn’t think anything could top my love for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, but holy shit I loved this with every fibre of my being. It is a unique and fresh take on Dracula and I adored it. The romance and yearning and passion is unmatched. The acting is phenomenal, especially by Caleb Landry Jones, Zoe Bleu, and Matilda De Angelis. Oscars all around please. This is easily the movie of the year for me. The music, set design, costumes, EVERYTHING is perfection, I can’t stress it enough! The ending devastated me tho❤️‍🩹 it was haunting and beautiful. I am scared I will never love another movie as much as as I love this one tbh❤️🩸❤️ fave quote: “she is my salvation” “you are her damnation” 😭 anyone know where I can find a hot Romanian that will pine after me like I’m a goddess???🥹

How did he know that she will reincarnate? If he went mad, it should have been made clear.
What was that perfume nonsense?
Since when does France share borders with Romania? This dracula like conquered half of europe?
Christoph waltz convinced him to kill himself this fast?

I don't know why but something somehow made me go back and change my rating
there's nothing particularly exceptional about this movie but I keep thinking about it anyway
I guess it reached a part of me I don't even know myself lol

I really enjoyed this, though I’ve never read the book or seen any of the other movies or adaptations of Dracula.

8/10 Enjoyable retelling of “Bram Stokes” Dracula and the adding of gargoyles. As the passion of the story and a great cast although I preferred “Oldman’s” performance of Dracula this is still good and worth a watch. Recommend.

Films like this make me confused on whether or not I truly understood the book. I never saw the interest between Mina and Dracula in the book but there’s so many adaptations of them falling in love?

Not to say the film isn’t good, i enjoyed it but definitely made me rethink my thoughts on the original.

Also the gargoyles being my favourite part of this.

Loved the interpretation, the devotion the Count has for his beloved, and the way love is portrayed.

The only issue I had is that it’s depicted/implied that Romania shares a border with France, which is very far from the truth 😅

I wish it was a happy ending.

Compared to the whole movie the ending felt so rushed it threw me off a little, but the phenomenal acting and scene settings make up for it

7/10 Great adaptation. Covered some main points from the book. Vlad and Mari were amazing performances. Costumes were nice. The dance sequence / finding the perfect perfume part was the weakest in my opinion. Draculas love story added reason to his obsession with Mina which was good. Really enjoyed the watch and wanted the ending to be different from the book 😭 Dracula bleh bleh bleh

Omg omg omg just watched with my nan and we both loved it! Bring back men who yearn pleaseeee. The whole cast are hot istg. Christopher waltz 😍 I have a new crush on Caleb and also the ginger vampire, DIVA. Such a good movie and such a romantic plot wow

LOVEDDDD ITTTTT. even better than i was expecting!!!! same caliber as 1992 bram stoker’s imo. the only thing lacking was them dang gargoyles LOL
