wow. i had goosebumps the whole time. absolutely insane that they were able to create the entire park in a year. if only things were still made with such hard work, love, and imagination. i hope walt is proud of what disney is today.

If you’re a Disney fan, then you’ll want to check this out! They show the footage filmed of Disneyland being created and things that happened while it was being built and how they were able to broadcast opening day. They also updated the footage and turned it into color versus black-and-white. Some more people will be interested to see it.

Nice use of old footage but definitely took liberties with sound design and narrative. Didn’t learn much new having seen many other docs of a similar nature.

So nostalgic

Wow! A beautifully done documentary about the construction of Disneyland. 100% archival footage, and great narration by the people who built Disneyland with their own hands. Feels like you’re stepping through a time machine. Strong endorsement for lovers of Disney/docs/history/50s

Love the actual footage was a cool behind the scenes look

Really cool shots of Disneyland being made. It being in color really brought a new life to the footage. Also shows how well/fast things could be made without all the rules and safety measures. Those dudes didn’t give a poop

Amazing footage and done so well

I thought I would be annoyed by the lack of a true narrator but the sense of culmination to the opening day brings some nice propulsion to the documentary. It’s crazy to see how lax safety standards were and how green the area used to be.
