Good insight into the mind of a post partum mother, but lacked depth in symbolism, opting to instead so densely pack the film with it that there’s too much to chew on, so by the end the viewer is left a bit at a crossroads on what to think

I went into this film completely blind. All I can say is wow! This film is nuts! Definitely not a feel good movie. Jennifer Lawrence’s performance is astounding, she portrays a damaged mother so well. It was just so depressing, I just really couldn’t wait for this to end.
