Dìdi (弟弟)

what a powerful & beautiful film. it transmits growing up in the 00’s so well. the diversity of friend groups, and trying to be someone you aren’t. it’s really well written, although i did want more, was not expecting the ending at all. the cinematography is phenomenal, the cast, the editing, the sound design, & god i loved didi’s mom so much. i’m gonna txt my mom i love her rn bc of it. it’s a bitter sweet film, but it’s definitely a must watch. 8.5 / 10

Amazing cinematography, acting and dialogue!! Although I’m not asian, I did grow up multilingual, so the scenes with the language differences within the fam are very relatable and well done! I got some secondhand embarrassment cause of how realistic the film was😭 I rlly loved it❤️
