Dìdi (弟弟)

what a powerful & beautiful film. it transmits growing up in the 00’s so well. the diversity of friend groups, and trying to be someone you aren’t. it’s really well written, although i did want more, was not expecting the ending at all. the cinematography is phenomenal, the cast, the editing, the sound design, & god i loved didi’s mom so much. i’m gonna txt my mom i love her rn bc of it. it’s a bitter sweet film, but it’s definitely a must watch. 8.5 / 10

Better than the mid90s which isn’t saying much. I can only hope his life picks up following the end of the movie and he cools it with the self hatred

Trying to change who u are to try and fit in, when u are young
I could relate to so many things in this movie although I wasn’t a teen in the early 2000s I could relate. I enjoyed it.
