Dìdi (弟弟)

what a powerful & beautiful film. it transmits growing up in the 00’s so well. the diversity of friend groups, and trying to be someone you aren’t. it’s really well written, although i did want more, was not expecting the ending at all. the cinematography is phenomenal, the cast, the editing, the sound design, & god i loved didi’s mom so much. i’m gonna txt my mom i love her rn bc of it. it’s a bitter sweet film, but it’s definitely a must watch. 8.5 / 10

I adore this movie and im struggling between like and love. It did feel very similar to mid 90s though I believe the main character was a bit stronger. I just didnt personally connect to this as much as I had hoped and did for mid 90s, yet I still adore it to bits definitely reco
