I mean it’s alright, I didn’t like the voice actors for Greg and Rodrick. They did play lacrimosa which gave me HXH vibes

No need to

with colorful animation and an exciting plot, this film is fun and stronger than the first animated version. it borrows scenes from the original but with different details. greg and rodrick's interactions are entertaining, though the characters still feel unlike themselves.

Gosh I love those frank heffley schizophrenia videos LOL. Anyways I’m so so happy Ed Asner was a voice actor in this, he will always be loved ❤️❤️

Rodrick crying at the end because of greg replacing him in loded diper hit me hard. Damn you greg.

Not like the book and boring

To be honest, I was enjoying this more than the first one for a good chunk of it. I thought the interactions between Greg and Rodrick were pretty good, and it feels like it had more of a real plot than the first one, where things just kind of happen. It had the same flaws as the first one, with good but soulless animation and the performances being pretty uninteresting, but I was enjoying it.

Unfortunately, it gets SO CRINGE at the end. Like, even for a hastily made kid’s movie. They try to shoehorn in some messaging that feels so out of character and strange, and it’s super awkward to watch. They wanted a moral to the story, but couldn’t figure out a convincing way to make that happen, so they just decided to make it unconvincing.

So much better than the last animated film. This time they showed similar scenes with very different details that still felt authentic. I think that this is the best book to make a movie just because of the varying scenes. I don’t like the voice acting but I do like how Greg has voice cracks, I think it’s fitting.

I like the live action more not gonna lie
