Diary of a Wimpy Kid Reviews

The animation was good, but there was no need for this movie. The first 3 Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies were much better than this. One thing I give it is that it’s much better than Diary of a Wimpy Kid Long Haul, but this movie was just unnecessary and I wouldn’t watch it again.

No one can describe THE Cheese Touch better than Ravi.

i really dislike this animation style, also cut out abunch of the book, 1.5/10

It’s a more rushed telling of the story with the characters from the book. Basically a 1 for 1 without the sauce of the live action.

This is the only time I’d probably recommend the live action movie over the animated. The characters just feel more alive in that version. In this version Greg is literally just a jerk the entire movie, very self entitled with barely any of the fun and even at the end he has to leave a sly threat about telling people the truth if he did something to annoy him. It’s like Greg never learned the entire film.

Also I have no clue why this version needed to be made when the live actions did the job, well at least “most” of them.

Aight

Love the animation, but loved the real one.

Animation is good!

The animation is much , i don’t see any need to this version

i liked the concept of it, but it just felt awkward lmao

Made it a lot more obvious in this that Greg is literally just bald. Greg Heffley would absolutely catch these hands, though.

with colorful visuals and an entertaining plot, the animated take on diary of a wimpy kid is enjoyable. while much of the storyline was cut, making it feel rushed and redundant compared to the live-action films and leaving the characters not quite like themselves, it's still fun!

I guess it was decent, nothing really special to be honest

This movie is a complete and utter failure as a adaptation the animation is fine some the voice acting is choppy and it fundamentally doesn’t get the story if I’m rooting for Greg over Rowley when Greg is supposed to be a dickhead then you failed at adapting wimpy kid 5/10

peak

It’s good but they js tryna make money

i dont like the animation

Not bad, but also not that good and unnecessary because of the first live action film. Also way too short and cuts out a lot of important moments from the book.
