Diary of a Wimpy Kid

This was a great movie I mean eating the cheese was nasty but other than that I really related to this movie

The animation was good, but there was no need for this movie. The first 3 Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies were much better than this. One thing I give it is that it’s much better than Diary of a Wimpy Kid Long Haul, but this movie was just unnecessary and I wouldn’t watch it again.

It’s a more rushed telling of the story with the characters from the book. Basically a 1 for 1 without the sauce of the live action.

This is the only time I’d probably recommend the live action movie over the animated. The characters just feel more alive in that version. In this version Greg is literally just a jerk the entire movie, very self entitled with barely any of the fun and even at the end he has to leave a sly threat about telling people the truth if he did something to annoy him. It’s like Greg never learned the entire film.

Also I have no clue why this version needed to be made when the live actions did the job, well at least “most” of them.

Love the animation, but loved the real one.
