The movie that made us realize the brilliance of Robert Rodriguez, fall in love with Salma Hayek, and respect Antonio Banderas. Make sure you see the other two in the series, El mariachi, and once upon a Time in Mexico.

Good fight scenes, good music, decent premise. I enjoyed this, granted I had a little higher expectations due to word of mouth, but overall liked this movie. 7/10

Looked great and sounded great on Blu-ray. The combination of tight action and humor plays so well. The tone is hard to match. Such a fun movie.

I watched this film a lot in high school, for obvious reasons *cough* Salma Hayek! I might have worn out my VHS copy in one particular place! I’m probably one of the few people who knew about El Mariachi before this film came out. Such a well made film, if not his best!
