A true story about the Bielski brothers, who led Jewish refugees to the Belarusian forests and created a hidden community. I loved the story of resilience and survival. However I don’t think this film tapped into the emotional depth of the real events & played things safe.

rewatched tonight on BBC4 HD, 30/01/26. Originally Watched this about 10 Years ago, based on a true story, not a big budget, but has Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell to keep you interested, epic story nonetheless 6.5/10

6/10 An interesting and fantastic Story based on a book written by another’s perspective of a True events. Great cast and well presented. Recommend (although could have been told under 2hs).
