Dawn of the Dead Reviews

A uniquely nostalgic classic that remains incredibly enjoyable. Characters are unique and well written, the score is legendary, and the effects still hold up 40+ years later. 4/5

Watched the 2004 version first a while ago, but I actually think this version is my favorite zombie movie so far. I love the soundtrack

beware the dead are everywhere!!

Obviously it’s quite dated and cheap but there is a lot to admire. However, I feel these movies work best as fun B movies.

decent vibes

I love the remake but hadn’t watch this until recently. I throughly enjoyed this entry ass well and honestly it’s my favorite of the series.

Dawn of the dead will always be another fav to the zombie genre no matter how old it is

A scathing satire on consumer culture, showing consumers to be zombies who mindlessly shuffle around in cycles & eat each other. Surprisingly funny, stiffly acted & poorly paced, often getting flat before finding a way to shake things up. Best when it’s verging on a hangout film.

This was such a fun watch! Okay, the purple skin was a bit of shocker and almost turned me away but I pushed through. For being from 78 it’s actually really good movie. Would definitely watch again!

I love zombie movies and it’s an classic and I like it but I prefer the newer one.

a suitable sequel to the last film that only falls short when it comes to its weaker visuals and lack of innovation. enjoyable the whole way through with impressive effects and sequences, definitely quite a ride

They really just painted the zombies grey and called it a day.

Felt random throughout. The remake was a huge upgrade

classic for a reason, enjoyed

um bão

4/10 it was a rough watch if I’m honest, only stuck to it cause it’s a classic but damn it was hard to finish

Very good

I’ve been wanting to watch this for the longest time and today I finally got the chance. It’s amazing how for 1978 the practical effects just work so well and are better than any CGI used today! George A. Romero does a really good job of building tension! Top tier zombie film!

Romero classic. effects are dated, but the zombies are still there. Great watch.

too slow. couldn't finish.
I had watched to remake before so unfortantly this was just out dated for me unfortantly
