I loved this until the last five minutes so I’m going to pretend it didn’t happen

it was a fun movie.

The lighting drives me insane in the movie. I get it’s supposed to be in the 80’s but it’s just dark and foggy and annoying. The start of this movie is very meh but the wrestling stuff layer is interesting, but not sure enough to save the movie. I wanted more from Chris Jericho since he was always so good a promos on the mic.

Wrestling themed 80’s nostalgia satan cult fight to the finish… yes, please! Look, it doesn’t have depth or subtext. There’s no layers. It’s just a fun, throw reality away for 94 minutes, kind of horror movie. There’s shtick. There’s blood & gore. There’s theme matches: wind, water, earth, fire… and spirit? There’s crazy cult leaders who seemingly want sacrifices via wrasslin’ & also, a no holds barred cage match featuring Satan… I mean, who doesn’t? 🤣

Keep expectations low, grab some 🍿 and turn the Fun dial to 11!
