First off, for some reason people can’t relax and be entertained with movies anymore, which is a huge mistake.
But if you’re the opposite, like revenge-seeking dragons, a fairytale story and action, then here it is.

(Hearing the dragon’s voice does something to me)

Absolutely none of this was new or unexpected.
Millie Bobbie Brown consistently chooses these wanna be feminist roles that make me wish I was a man, she’s a great actor but play someone with more depth please.
This was very pretty though so it’s not an outright dislike.

The dragon was incredibly cunty. I loved that. Plot was very predictable but still very entertaining and a satisfying end! Millie Bobby Brown has such talent, she does seem to be stuck in Netflix movies, tho.

What a great story! I loved this movie from start to finish. Felt a little bit like Game of Thrones vibes.

Hans Zimmer and most of the dragon work were the best part about this. The acting was fine, and the dialogue was mediocre. The cgi and background were terrible in a few parts. The story really annoyed me because although it is a fantasy, it still makes no sense. The last of kind remain in eggs and they get killed as well as your land being invaded, what you doing? Personally, I'm pulling a dracarys and setting fire to the sky's INSTANTLY. I'm only telling you that because it's entirely predictable. This movie tries hard to be 'WoKe', but it's empty. Painstakingly bad story/telling.

"I have to save her."

I suffered because my sister said it would be good. Now I know she lied. I really didn't like it, although this may be because I immediately saw through the whole story. It was formulaic, predictable and terribly boring.

Well You’ve gotta give them one thing, this movie isn’t entirely generic… They have a STRONG FEMALE DRAGON! That’s a new one ! 🙌
Millie’s face made me laugh tho, I just can’t stop thinking of that meme where she holds a carrot in it 💀 4/10 for CGI

Damsel takes pains to make its feminist message clear, and Brown manages a sensitive performance within a highly physical role as the damsel in distress who can rely only on herself to be saved. Damsel is a grisly and at times even touching tale of endurance and survival.

It was generally good my only complaint would be the dialogue and like self narration bc it was too weird for her to be being hunted by a dragon and talking to herself like girl shut up

She’s a badass and she’s smart. Great main character, CGI, back story, and ending. Only reason why it’s not a ‘love’ is because it’s one of those kinds of movies where the entire movie is based on an escape. Would’ve been better if there was more confrontation with the bad people

Uuhhh I actually really loved this one it was so stunningly made and so badass! I loved that it wasn’t about some guy and ending was perfect! Also Millie is so gorgeous and grown which is so wild and fun to see compared to her young days as eleven! She’s such a great actor!

THIS WAS SO BAD. THE PLOT SAW SO PREDICTABLE AND THE CHARACTERS WERE AWFUL - LITERALLY NO DEPTH

This is lowkey kind of peak. The story was pretty sick and felt pretty original. Most movies like this follow the same story line but I felt the ending of this was a different. Could just be me but yeah. Gotta start listening to my gf’s movie suggestions.

watch this if you want to see a movie where you know exactly what will happen the entire time through. You could take a 30 minute break and jump back in with no need for an explanation. i enjoyed it though !

It was a nice movie with a beautyful art stile about a girl running from a dragon. Nothing too special but very well executed

Honestly, such a good and original type of movie. It’s been a while since there’s been a good, fantasy type of movie that is captivating and also has a cool plot line :) highly recommend

LOVED IT SMMM i love how it came out on international woman’s day it’s so good and a good concept.
but the storyline was not built up enough like they could have done more world building or something bc i was kinda confused at some points but overall loved it.
