I expected a fun throwback, but this prequel/sequel hybrid felt tired and totally missed the mark.

The Director’s Eye:
The dusty, rural action gave me fantastic, gritty visual inspiration. As someone who values traditional family structures and law enforcement, I appreciate Chulbul fiercely protecting his community from pure evil. Salman Khan still has that swagger, and Sudeepa is an intimidating villain. The classic theme song also brings an energetic weight to the fight scenes.

The Cuts:
They crammed in a massive origin story, so the middle part really dragged for me during the endless flashbacks. The CGI on the physics-defying stunts looked unfinished, ripping me out of the illusion. The humor also felt super forced and dated, relying on cheap gags instead of the natural charm the original had.

Verdict:
A messy, exhausted sequel that champions family but runs completely out of gas. Skip it.

Favorite Line: “I work for both the police and the public.”
