childhood movie fr. so entertaining and i love the songs, can't compare to the sound of music though

my sister ruined this film for me. not fun having this film on every hour of the day

Some elements haven’t aged well, but this was still a fun and enjoyable musical. The Child Catcher is one of the scariest movie characters of all time.

The first half is rlly good but the second half is weird and pretty boring 5/10

The movie was great but during it, I learned that Dick Van Dyke’s current wife was not even born when he filmed this and that kinda grossed me out.

Seen it a bunch as a kid but I just watched it with the grandparents on tv and they cut out the racist part! So it was solid. Classic sing along songs. Impressive car

A love-able classic that I watched when I was in school

A go to gem from my childhood. While quirky and unbelievable in many parts, the film is a joyous exploration of family and adventure. 7.5/10

Good

It follows a classic family adventure structure with musical numbers and a simple hero’s journey. The performances are charming, especially the eccentric inventor role, and the whimsical car concept is memorable.

Perfect family classic to watch with everyone in the family

Prepare for slander: It’s a discount Mary Poppins with a (triply) discount Julie Andrews in a movie with no conflict or characters so they had to “imagine” the entire plot (which was the only half I paid attention to).
