would love if someone could explain why this movie exists what a boring plot i don't care about your old girlfriend why is this movie so popular it's a stupid black and white bullshit film

I enjoyed the plot, setting, and music in the film. I also liked the ending because it was not something that I was expecting when dealing with a character who was depicted as a neutral cynic. I liked the interesting theme about the difficulty of neutrality during war and in love

I understand it's a classic and it was one of the best of its time, but it's just not my style. Just bc it is 80 years old doesn't change the fact that its stale and boring.

It’s a classic and you kinda have to watch it but honestly it didn’t live up to the hype. But I wasn’t expecting that much since it’s from like the 40s but idk the story just wasn’t that amazing and it was a little confusing anyways so yeah

You wanna talk about the second greatest movie of all time? Spoiler Alert: it’s only one word. Starts with C and ends with “asablanca”

Grandparents made me watch it. I got an awesome history lesson before too 😽

masterful in every regard from the iconic beginning to the legendary end. a simple pleasure that’s infinitely enjoyable due to wildly natural and charismatic performances and incredible writing. gorgeous music and visuals with a nuanced narrative; touching

The character development and acting are so good. The setting is also such an interesting element. The only thing I didn’t like was how slow it was. That might just be an attention span problem tho. Either way it was the complexity of the characters that kept me watching

The feeling and vibe of the movie was so good and the character and stuff was so vintage or antique but the plot was boring af

It's far from a great film, but it has a special appealingly schlocky romanticism, and you're never really pressed to take its melodramatic twists and turns seriously.
