Come on Robert

DeNiro absolutely saved this film, he was superb. Maybe my favorite performance of his. Otherwise the story lacked texture, characters weren’t fleshed out and there were so many contrived and cliche moments (especially the end).

Grade A 90’s EdgeKino. Loved the dynamic lighting/water effects; This really is Irreversible done better, Scorsese is just that good at lighting (Scorsese does it to show tension, Noé does it to give the audience a headache). I miss old Robert De Niro. Plot details in pt2

Robert dinero is horrific in a great acting way in this film I think in modern times this film is controversy waiting to happen but luckily it’s been out for decades captivating deep conversation cult classic by Scorsese and produced by Spielberg!

I liked the mini series better. It had more time to develop the characters.

Genuinely captivating, and although this isn’t Martin Scorsese’s best work, nor is there much subtlety in the violence and predictable terror, the moral dilemma serving as Max’s exigence was certainly worth thinking about

8/9/26: eugh i really did not like this at all. ew. Martin Scorsese is the most dull and obnoxiously overrated director aside from Christopher Nolan and I will always stand by that

Loved Robert De Niro in this one. Gripping story with the psychological downward spiral shown well. Did use some plot armour tho
