It’s so sad how someone lying can affect someone else’s life so much.

A fine short that was definitely a solid watch, but also didn’t really feel like it was saying as much as it wanted to say. It’s mainly just watching some dude struggling with several problems in the world, without saying much more about said problems other than “this is bad”.

6.3 - “meh” by rating but an actual like for the story overall.

So many people are just tired by today’s world. Rightfully so.

I’m tired. And I don’t have nearly as much reason to be.

The drama & the tension here is strong enough. The emotion feels real enough. And I think as the (surprisingly) only seriously politically tinged story of this year’s Oscar Short Film set, its message is solid. But its story is a little too disjointed & runs a little long for a short film. A little more context into the actual political strife (or single event) of the story might have helped me too, but that’s on me.

Really quite gripping and tense for as short as it is. Very relevant and insightful as well. Particularly loved the final shot and the implied challenge directly to the viewer. And very wowed by Omar Sameer’s performance.
