Predictable movie in terms of a typical Nicolas Cage performance.... irritating, boring, over acted, etc.

Plot is paper thin, characters aren't very interesting, and the green behind the ears Will character makes you want slap him sideways.

Only thing that saved it was the scenery, the rest was predictable. Only stupid morons would head off near winter into the mountains with minimal provisions to shoot buffalo expecting massive herds and only bring one tiny wagon.

Beyond that there was little empathy for any of the characters, and the random dream sequences did nothing to add to the story, more confusing than anything else.

This is just a movie about hunting and skinning buffalo and camping. I hoped it would pick up but it never did.

Completely disjointed film. Terrible screen play bad acting. Jesus I was so excited for this film. Such a shame

Short but devastating film

It started off strong and had the opportunity to be great. Got a little lost in the weeds in the middle. Overall of very interesting piece of history. They chose to tell a story through. The pictures they showed at the end were shocking. As well as the numbers they shared.

A really great Western about greed and knowing when to stop. Nicolas Cage delivers one of his best performances. I highly recommend this one

A solid movie and role in a recent sea of straight to dvd/streamer Cage entries. But not one I’d recommend, especially if you hate to see animals die. It excels at showcasing the atrocity white man did to the Bison during westward expansion, but its narratively repetitive.

Poor visuals, a mediocre script and clearly artificial production design. The only redeeming thing is Nick Cage’s performance and shaved head. This film doesn’t do anything new for westerns either. It gets tedious often.

Possibly one of Cage’s best performances. You know you’re in for a good time when you forget the actor and get lost in the role. You really feel the hardships faced in this movie and the consequences of greed 👍🏻
