Chef’s Kiss.

5.5 - (2nd watch) For a movie with so many spicy story lines - an outcast world-class chef with a drug problem, a dead mentor, gang debts, heated rivalries, and multiple love triangles - it’s incredibly bland. It’s incredibly tropey, but non of the storylines get fully worked out, & there are no real stakes to hold the tension. There should be something here, but it’s thoroughly underbaked.

This movie was fantastic, I love this genre of cooking movies and this one knocked it out of the park. The food looked amazing, the story was awesome and the acting was great, probably my second favorite Bradley Cooper movie. Overall, solid 9/10

Started off good and interesting, but I got bored and then ended up not finishing it with almost an hour left over.

I am a sucker for chef/culinary movies and I really enjoyed this one. There are story lines that could be a bit more flesh out for sure, but I still found this to be captivating. 8/10.
