it’s a pretty movie but if I wanted to experience a traumatized con projecting all his issues on a young girl I’d call my ex

christina ricci steals the movie. pretty cool indie film style if you can say. very unique use of editing and cinematography that just works. movie just has an aura around it that can be described as just “uncomfortable” because the protagonist isn’t very likeable, but it works.

How are they going to rate this a comedy???

Literally so boring I cannot stand this man he keeps rambling on like get a podcast…

I have been thinking about this movie for the past 4 months and I still don’t know how I feel about it?? It’s not bad, but it’s not amazing either?

Could not appreciate it even if it was funny sometime, mostly because the man is insufferable, that she's 17 in a minidress shivering in the cold and suffers from severe stockholm syndrome 🫪

i really liked the energy of the way it was filmed, it reminded me of a book or of wes andersons style. and disregarding the stockholm syndrome, i really admire layla and billys relationship. although, i do find it a bit narcissistic, because gallo played billy and directed it.

absurd.oddest characters.some events that make me want to call the director(who’s also the main character)egotistical. hate the obvious male gaze scenes like the one with ricci in the beginning. liked the scene where he ”shot” himself. ending would be sweet if not for the age gap
