Borderline snooze fest

Doesn't quite make it to the borderline. Samantha Weaving screams future Oscar potential, and Alba Baptista and Eric Dane are heavily underrated. I want more of them. About halfway through, I thought Ray looked exactly like a young Jack Nicholson. Only to find out he's his son and it makes so much sense. Story-wise, there's not much to it. It feels like a short story or a 1hr 30m version of the end scene in OUATIH, especially with those deaths. Definitely a weaker version though. Far too 'artsy' and slow with questionable plot points and humour. Overall, it feels like 'Long Legs' with less horror and a better soundtrack.

Samara back in a good movie. Ray Nicholson is starting to pop up everywhere, and you know what, I’ll take it. He’s got a lot of high-octane unhinged energy (probably from his dad), but I’m curious to see if he can break away from a typecast.
