3.5 - Thank goodness for the final showdown & two of the best kills of the year or this might be my worst movie of 2025.
If you told me this script was completely AI, I wouldn’t question it. It’s an absolute mess. It’s incredibly contrived & unrealistic. A lot of the conflicts seem poorly manufactured. And much of the conversation is just flat & forced. Even a couple of the leads feel like an AI image generator was told to create Florence Pugh & Zac Efron (or maybe Dave Franco?). I mean the villains names are Will and C(s)in. (Also, the “big twist” is completely unnecessary & confusing. Just took any of the prior (incredibly forced) eroticism out of the movie.)
But the ending face-off is actually decently tense, & has two of the best kills of the year as I mentioned, so there’s that.

This movie was fine, but it was also a little disappointing. The movie starts off wild and in your face and you’re expecting that for the rest of the movie and you just don’t get that. My job literally dropped in the beginning and it never dropped again. It has some good moments and it gets good again towards the end, but I just kind of drags in the middle and it’s really predictable as well For the most part.

this movie reminds me so much of another & i cant remember, i literally predicted the plot as soon as the second couple walked in. i was successfully ragebaited in the beginning, like they made all the wrong decisions with these strangers. but the end & overall it was really good

first hour of this was just pure rage bait but i think it was a fairly good setup for those final 30 minutes, which did ultimately save the movie. 6/10

First 3/4 were sooooo boringggg. Overall the plot was super predictable. Had some good kills. Just was a meh watch. Thought it would be more horror but it was thriller for sure. I think the way it should have ended is the brother should have accidentally killed his sister/lover with the chainsaw in the dark thinking it was the guest woman. That would’ve been more dramatic and interesting.

I’m glad they didn’t cheat. Quite uncomfortable and it was fun. It did feel like it climaxed somewhere in the middle though.

you could cut off the entire middle portion of the movie only leaving the first few scenes and the finale, and you literally would not be missing anything. the middle portion of this movie is some of the most boring nothing in a movie, ever.
