very dark, eerie, & emotional roller coaster of a film. it portrays wwii perfectly, although i hated george for getting off the train, but turned out to be a very brave young man at the end of the storyline. the sound design & cinematography was brilliant, the production & set design always blows my mind when it comes to recreating the 1940s. the score was very beautiful as well. wish the mom did a little more for his son, bro did all the work to come back to her. that scene where the plane crashed into the building and george was running away from the bombing was pure cinema. ife & the little white boy were adorable characters. i shed a tier at the end ngl. overall a great film, really enjoyed it.

Apple content will either be the most engaging, unique, and thought-provoking spectacle, or the most generic, soulless, focus-grouped-to-hell media.
This falls into the latter category, and felt like Chat-GPT should have been in the credits roll.

It’s a fine feel good war movie but Rita didnt do shit to find George, she went to one business that was basically a lost and found then hid in a bunker while George got home by himself. It also cuts around to much, would’ve been better to just stay on Georges’ adventure. 5/10

Some solid performances, great sound design and brilliant camerawork. And a passable rest of the film. It’s very surface level and good (technically). Performances are good but very Oscar-baity, which is what this film feels like. Good, fine, watchable awards bait

8/10 a great story, covers lots of point raised during the blitz not commonly known (ie, underground not being open as bunkers)…..

That scene that came out of nowhere shocked me and everybody in the theater. You could hear everybody gasp; it was wild, but honestly, the movie was truly exceptional. I was glued to the screen every second of it. The acting, directing, and story were just phenomenal.

Great cinematography but just felt like an incredibly average war film. I was bored for most of it.

Cinematography on point. The son’s plot was great. But there has to be a wort mother of the year award. Her son goes missing, but she does everything apart from finding him. Nonfiction aside, this movie is good, it’s decent in other aspects.

Amazing movie that deserved to win all the awards, even if I spent the rest of the time like the guy in the "why are you running?" meme. WHY ARE YOU RUNNING, CHILD!!
