holy fuck that was so good. i have so much to say. cinematography is just straight up bonkers. every shot is so well executed, camera movements, composition, focus pull, & the color pallet uuuuff, it’s just so visually stunning. cat woman can fucking direct wow. the writing is spectacular, i had so many emotions, i laughed my ass off, i had anxiety, & i was on the edge of my seat. felt like i watched three different films. just pure cinema. what a cast. naomi & channing were phenomenal. without a doubt, the best performance i’ve ever seen from channing. ( i’m sorry ifykyk ). the costume design, set design, & the sound design holy trinity. chefs kiss of a film. definitely in my top 3 best picture this year. the oscars are gonna be competitive af this year. 9.5 / 10

8.8 - I’m mad it took me so long to get to reviewing this. I saw it almost 5 days ago, & I’m itching for a rewatch. The (very fair) trigger warning to open the movie serves as a sort of spoiler, but everything about this from the performances, to the script, to the sound design still keeps an intense level of suspense & just enough mystery. It’s maybe not the most realistic, & some moments of comedy are off tone but ultimately I was gripped. Zoë Kravitz may be as much of a force behind the camera as she is in front of it, Channing Tatum plays a great charismatic villain, & I’m all the way in on Adria Arjona after her last two projects. I’m nervous some will just instantly dismiss this because of the trigger warning & “woke/feminist” angle & I truly hope that’s not the case.

Very impressive, powerful film, but I think it’s normal because it’s write by a woman 🫦

This was wild but what I hoped it would be. The cinematography and acting were golden. Naomi, Channing & Adria were 10/10. Fair warning that some of the scenes were traumatic and I was not prepared. Also scary to think some of this isn’t too far from reality which is truly sick

Zoë Kravitz did her big shit with this one. This was amazing, twisted, & messed up. Some of the scenes could be uncomfortable for some, but something that needed to be addressed. This will keep you on the edge of your seat, and constant plot twists. 10/10. Channing Tatum tho 😍

Meh it was too long and not a family movie. Probably won’t watch it again

Took a dark route that I was not expecting, but definitely interesting.

Drawing inspiration from the Garden of Eden myth was quite clever. The themes of trauma and power were compelling and I like how the movie explored these issues, especially in the context of women reclaiming control. It was thought provoking in that way.

It is a very interesting thriller, which is not far from reality.

We may forgive, but we will never forget 👁️

Kravitz’s directorial debut is both skillful and entertaining, keeping audiences on the edge of their seat through this hilarious and nuanced psychological thriller.

The cinematography was so beautiful and coupled with the amazing acting was chefs kiss. I went to see this movie solely off the strength that it was directed by Zoe kravitz. it’s a true physiological thriller. Definitely for mature audiences.

Disappointed in this one. The twists were good and the acting was amazing, but that’s really it. Not much action and I did really feel any suspense. It was a really unique concept, but the build up and climax could’ve been done better. People died to fast at one time. 5/10.

I don’t really know how to feel about this… the actors did their best for sure though. 6.2/10 somehow the director/ writers managed to miss something
