The Social Network of Smartphones
The film is paced perfectly, even if you know what happens to BlackBerry after Apple enters the market. Filled with high-risk bets and cutting edge tech of the times, it’s sure to entertain you. Surprisingly filled with laughs too.

A little cheesy at times and some moments where I was bored, overall I enjoyed this. I’m a sucker for business stories. This was the (very) poor man’s social network

Borderline love here. Great writing and great acting. Watching the character development along with the way the story was being told was totally gripping. Definitely re-watchable

Very good movie. Oddly, hair and makeup were terrible, but everything else was great.

The film starts off a bit slow, but it becomes much faster-paced as the story progresses.
I had a hard time connecting with the characters because, at times, it felt like I was watching a mockumentary series (similar to The Office). It was interesting to learn how BlackBerry was created and how the company eventually failed after feeling pressured by Apple and its innovative iPhones.
I felt a sense of nostalgia seeing the BlackBerry because it was the phone I always dreamed of having… until the iPhone arrived.
The cinematography wasn’t particularly impressive, and some of the dialogue felt weak. This is not the kind of film that leaves you feeling inspired like Air or A Million Miles Away. I think it was missing that emotional element that could have made it a more meaningful story and left viewers with a stronger message.

I had a Blackberry when the iPhone dropped and swore it would never knock off BB. Ironically I’m typing this on my iPhone 😆😆😆

Matt Johnson’s directorial style and Jason Raab’s cinematography, on business-y people, in an office with a blue-gray color pallet, looks EXACTLY like succession do they know that. Whoever did hair and makeup has gotta go though. Baaaaack to cosmetology school cause what the fuck were any of Mike’s wigs. This is like a pretty good movie and then the wigs are highschool play level wigs? How much can a good wig cost?
This definitely was following like the same biopic formula that they all do but I’m sorrrryyyy I like it I enjoy the biopic formula especially when I don’t know anything about the situation so I’m learning, I love to learn. I don’t really have much else to say about the movie it’s just pretty good like it’s a fast paced tech biopic. It’s basically the social network but different. Not as good but like basically. Matt Johnson in a doom t-shirt is so important to me though. And Matt Johnson talking about doom. Idk if he likes doom in real life cause I think he was/is in a different realm of video games but I don’t care it’s real to me. I want to play doom death match with Matt Johnson please please please. Matt Johnson from the dirties would ABSOLUTELY play doom death match with me and I would beat him. He would get so mad. Sorry I’m writing self insert doom themed Matt Johnson fan fiction on main. I’m gonna run out of Matt Johnson movies really soon and then I’m gonna freak out.

9/10 - Really thought this would be boring but I love all the comedy they added to make the script come alive!
