love these movies sm. the action was good. loved the freddy krueger aspect, that was rlly cool. glad it tied up unfinished ends from the first one

SLOW for NO reason at ALL!

Idk man, trailer definitely made it look better, scarier and stronger.

It fails to deliver that, unfortunately It does what most horror movies do these days, give you nothing and then have an action sequence at the end, this isn’t even horror at this point I’ll be honest.

Is it better than the first one? Idek, only praise I can really give it is, lighting and difference between the first movie and this second installment.

I noticed the green screen way too much, and we continued coming back to it so it would take me out every time I would see it.

This is just me tho, I wasn’t a big fan of the first one either so you guys let me know what you think of it.

I hated him ice skating all over the place btw, sparked some laughs. At least I got that.

great, the first movie was a bit better since it was creepier and more memorable than this one. this one’s more graphic, maybe.
totally recommend it though, it even made me tear up a bit AND I was one of only 4 people in the theatre, crazy LMFAO 😭

The visuals. The music. The vibes. The aesthetic. Damn this was fantastic. It’s sooo A Nightmare on Elm Street coded, with scenes that are a straight homage to the Wes Craven classics. I think I actually liked this more than the original. The ending could have been a tiny bit better (he stopped being scary), but still loved it. Go see this in Dolby and let your seat shake with every pound of the ice.

Let me tell you how this one was better than the first, and that’s saying a lot considering I loved the first one. This one made me feel alllll the emotions. I was scared, I laughed, I cried, I was anxious. All of it. If you’ve seen Sinister, this was very similar to that style of filming. The storyline was fantastic, and the jump-scares had me screaming a few times. This one is far more gory than the first, so watchers beware. I was curious how they would have the Grabber come back, but it worked great. 10/10 will watch again.

way creepier than the first, loved the editing way more. the grainy film look of gwen’s dreams with the flares transitioning to her reality was so sick.

the editing fucks. the cinematography fucks. the production design fucks. the only thing that doesn’t fuck is the vfx in the climax.

the frozen lake looked fake af. yea there was some fire action sequences but the vfx felt cheap. that’s the only thing that disappointed me tbh.

other than that the writing was absolutely phenomenal. the ending was very satisfying and just a proper way to end the story.

i highly doubt there would be a part iii.

a perfect halloween watch.

I absolutely loved this second installment so much! Not only was Finn and Gwen amazing but the whole damn cast was (except the lame Christian characters) (not including mondo and mustang). The first movie has my heart so damn much but this one was also really enjoyable! 1000/10

Very underwhelming sequel, it had so much potential and I feel like they could have done better.

Comedy not a horror movie, laughed more than i was scared

Black Phone 2 brings back not just its masked villain but also the 1980s horror vibe, with its creaky charm, moral undertones, and icy terror.

i wanted to like it so much more than i did
:( unfortunately it just came off as repetitive and trying too hard to be sentimental (even tho i love finney and gwen)
it was okay in general and had good moments but i’m not convinced black phone even needed a sequel after seeing it

Bad cgi. First movie didn’t need a sequel, and this was just barely related, so christian for some reason??? Made no sense, boring, drawn out.

i loved this movie so much. i love how it’s so grainy in the dreams. i love the touch of nightmare on elm street too. the grabber looked so cool and the “kills” were super cool too. never thought id see the grabber ice skating but oh well. this might be better than the first tbh. the dream sequences were awesome. they weren’t lying when they said it was sinister and nightmare on elm street. definitely somewhere between a 9 or a 10 out of a ten. only complaint kinda is the dialogue is kinda iffy in some scenes, and it was a bit predictable but i loved it!

I absolutely loved this movie! I think they did a fantastic job with it going super dark. I love how the visual images change depending on current state or dream state and it just really drew me in. I think this one is better than the first one.
