Black Hawk Down Reviews

While there is nothing really wrong with this film on paper, it suffers from being too much of the same. Most scenes in the film are just shot-reverse shots of people shooting guns and people getting shot, and eventually you become desensitized to it and it becomes boring. 5.5/10

There's nothing really that stands out here from other war films I've seen, but Ridley Scott didn't shy away from showing you the realism of war and how brutal it really is. However, the biggest detriment is you don't really get any character moments till around the final act, and some of the war scenes got a bit repetitive.

A great telling of a tragic event

I really liked this movie. It was one of the most realistic war movies that I have seen. It brought out real feelings that many people don't mention about war. It also showed some flaws about the FN-system which the somalian soldiers could use to their advantage. Good 8/10

really gross

Great War movies cannot be beat. God bless America

Excellent. 10/10. Beautiful. Horrific. Sad. Dangerous. Josh Hartnett. Enough said.

Real good, so tough to see the situation those guys got stuck in. Really cool to see how they responded

Crazy how many well known actors are in this movie but were relative nobodies at the time (e.g. Orlando Bloom, Tom Hardy, etc). I always found it funny that Trainspotting actors (Ewen McGregor and Ewen Bremner) are in it. Josh Harnet was the bigger draw at the time. I digress.

one of the most stressful films of my life but it was incredible

jesus this is brutal

Very good movie with very good casting

8.4/10

personally 6/10, not much plot, 2h shooting.
but 8/10 for someone who likes war movies.
tense, realistic, tragedy.

10/10

89/100 one of the best war movies. Starts slowly but ramps up the action and intensity. Gripping and devastating.
