This is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I’ve ever seen, but it’s definitely not for everyone. It’s considered one of the first Japanese animated masterpieces, as it came out in 1973, and it is a feminist narrative on the topic of sexual trauma and healing.

With its lovely watercolor paintings, tragic events, intensely erotic scenes, and sorrowful music, this anime well depicts the suffering that these women suffer from rape and, even more so, the rejection that follows.
the art style is beautiful and soundtracks good I really liked

truly one of the most gorgeous films in existence, the amount of detail that is shown throughout is actually mind boggling. suchhhh a beautifully tragic story. ah i love this movie

the visuals are so captivating they had me forgetting i dont understand japanese and i needed to read the subtitles

6/10 i honestly didn’t understand half of the movie, it seemed like there was a lot of symbolism put into this but i wasn’t smart enough to understand. other than that the soundtrack was crazy the art style is amazing and unique! by far one of the most graphic films i’ve seen😬
