Batman: Year One

at first i was like hell yeah gordon is the goat he’s stone cold and i love him and then he CHEATED ON HIS WIFE WHO IS ALSO PREGNANT and then i lost all respect for him. that’s my review

What a film this is faithful to the source has a perfect Gordon and some PEAK batman the action is great the story is fire and it’s perfect for what it so 9.5/10 (18)

capisco fosse il primo anno di Bruce come Batman ma sembrava un elefante in un negozio di porcellana, e COSA SIGNIFICA CHE GORDON HA TRADITO LA MOGLIE INCINTA? mi aspettavo qualcosa come quello di Halloween ma mi ha un po' delusa, nonostante questo niente male. Good but not great

Quite disappointed in this one. It feels so far off from every other take. I thought it was going to be similar to “The Long Halloween Pt. 1 & 2”, but not at all. Every character felt like they had no redeemable qualities, and I’m talking about Batman, Jim Gordon, Selena Kyle. I know it was his first year, but Batman was so bad. Like he wasn’t even intelligent like he is supposed to be. Made terrible mistakes that I’m surprised didn’t get him caught up or killed. Gordon was having an affair his first few months in Gotham, like what?! If anyone is known for loving their family more than Bruce it’s Jim. The story sucked, the action sucked, I just expected way more honestly.
