Atonement

my jaw dropped at the plot twist at the end. literally DROPPED. This movie is literally beautiful like the aesthetic and the chemistry is just like top tier. Never hated anyone more than that little girl played by Saoirse.

was not expecting that ending. what a beautiful full circle to the title. perfect wording. it’s a very sad story in it’s entirety, but a damn good film. makes u question ur feelings of characters.

the deviation from chronological order portraying how much briony wishes she could go back as well as different perspectives is breathtaking. the score with the typewriting ticks woven in throughout the movie 12/10. james mcavoy deserves all the accolades and keira knightley was born to play in period pieces.

(could’ve gotten to the point a lil quicker a few times) 9/10

I’m a sucker for a period piece romance movie. This was beautiful and harrowing. The directing was 10/10

Amazing movie never watching it again

See I have mixed feelings about it. The performances are great and the stories pretty good but I just…idk I don’t like it as much as I thought I would. And I can’t put my finger on why

Broke my heart. Highly recommend
