Shortly after seeing this, I went to an art museum and saw Van Gogh’s sheaves of wheat. What happened next I didn’t expect, I started to cry. This film is magnificent,putting us in the shoes of Van Gogh so we can understand the beautiful and complex man behind the paintings.10/10

The only good scene was the meme one. Hard to watch when the accents are American

Interesting biopic about Vincent Van Goth played flawlessly by Willem Dafoe. At times it was quite slow but it was very entertaining and just as dreamlike like his paintings.

I think this movie was absolutely beautiful.

The movie went by in a good pace where you could really dive into the mind of Van Gogh and really listen to what was being said which I enjoyed a lot.

The cinematography was amazingly done and it was very beautiful to watch.

The monologue scenes felt really poetic and deep which made it even more enjoyable.

I couldn’t imagine anyone else than Willem Dafoe for this role because he played it so well and he’s just a very talented actor overall.

I think I may have seen this guy before a couple of years ago at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, he was standing beside a ginger woman and a man wearing a really cool bow tie. I remember he was crying a lot, idk why tho.

Not really my style but it was really creatively filmed. And Mads was super hot in like the ten straight minutes we got a close up of his face (best ten minutes ever). I can appreciate the artistic beauty of it and the tale it tells, it’s jus not personally what I enjoy.

What an amazing movie that tells the story of Van Gogh. I felt something weird while watching the movie, it was between peace and anxiety.
At some point, the movie gave me the feeling of an old Minecraft survival world

Good landscapes with a great score and one of WD best performances

Beautifully tragic story. A lot of silence to give the watcher time to think and reflect. Very slow, but really takes you to where Vincent is at in those slow moments. Incredibly profound dialogue with a thought inspiring soundtrack to accompany it. 8.4
