Comedy? What? This gave me nightmares as a kid. Haven’t rewatched in years though.

A fun balance of horror and comedy, even if I’m not scared of spiders. The realistic arachnid work is impressive, & the small town setting enhances the tension. Overall, it’s okay. A quirky mix of horror and comedy, but not particularly chilling unless you’re scared of spiders.

In any other world this should play out to be a mediocre thriller, however, it ended up being one of the best slasher via arachnid films ever.

wouldn't watch again but the final fight scene saved the movie from being a total wash

Actually a great movie because I wasn’t expecting much. It was nerve wracking and made me more scared of spiders than I was before. I still have a memory from when a giant ass tarantula scared the fuck out of me when I was little. Anywho, make sure you look at what you’re eating.

I never thought of myself as arachnophobic, but this film was so effective with what it did that even I was freaked out by simple moments like a spider jumping onto someone. The human characters are also done really well, with a shoutout to John Goodman’s wacky character

Wasn’t that scared of spiders before, now I am a lot more. Thanks. This genuinely was very unnerving.
John Goodman as the exterminator was really funny.

This movie is awesome. It was definitely made at the perfect time period because it made sense to be done practically. John Goodman was hilarious in his limited scenes. Daniels gives a solid lead performance.

it's a lot less spooky if you are OK with spiders but it's still a great 90s horror vibe

Best horror spider movie there is. it says comedy but if you hate spiders it gives you the ick.
