Great performance from both sides and an intriguing plot but I feel like it was really rushed and the pacing was a bit off. It could’ve done with being 20 minutes longer to focus on the hunt part and developing the story, seems like a wasted opportunity considering the great cast

I watched like 40 minutes of it and then just gave up and skimmed through it ngl 😭

Took one look at the filmmakers' other projects, and it all suddenly made sense. Just like Taron's character, there's no real thought process behind anything. Instead, it's purely just vibes. Great performances, decent set pieces, brilliant graphics, and some very dynamic camerawork. The story felt as if it were actively paddling away from any actual effort or logic. A few moments of plot twisting and tension, followed by several repetitively dragged-out and predictable 'action' sequences. Maybe I would've had more fun if it weren't trying to be something it clearly isn't.

really liked the cinematography, great variety of wide lenses and loved the back POV in the canoe.

I came across it onNetflix because we got the wrong movie with my boyfriend and it turned out that it was really not bad. The story was quite classic but it's a nice movie for a little movie night or when you don't know what to watch. MORAL OF THE STORY BTW NEVER LISTEN TO A MAN

Not bad, kinda gets repetitive but it kept me focused for the most part

It’s nothing new or amazing but it’s a good thriller. The acting is honestly great and the story has some good moments here and there.

The story is pretty predictable from the start.
They really do nothing to make you care about the Sasha. So when the main action takes place, I really wasn’t that engaged.

The wide shots were a highlight, those gave this movie great scale.

The actor who plays Benny absolutely killed it.

I probably will never watch this one again but it was an ok time.

Not gonna lie, this was shot in such a way that it felt less like your standard thriller and more like a vanity project for Charlize Theron. Like I kept seeing glimpses in the shots of the bts being like “Can you BELIEVE this veteran actress did ALL of these CRAAAZY STUNTS?!?!”

Apex summit, apex predator, and a surprising lack of Australian animals. 7/10

Bit of a spiritual companion to The River Wild.

Taron Egerton is unhinged as hell.

Charlize Theron is badass, as usual. Seriously, what is her training regimen?

About halfway through it shifts from thriller into horror.

Must have been traumatic to film. The physical toll, my god. Even if she only did some of it, it looked absolutely brutal.

it wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great.

It didn't blow me away! Still worth the watch! The actors were great! However I felt the story telling could have been a little different. We could have gotten a more definitive storyline for him to! All the action was in the trailer, if anything the trailer made it more intense!

After watching Send Help yesterday I think I’m all set on wilderness action-thrillers for a while. Apex plays like a Netflix action movie…if that’s your thing then you’ll probably enjoy this, otherwise probably pass (I’m a sucker for stuff like this)

Apex is a clean survival thriller with a simple but intense story. Charlize Theron carries the movie hard, strong, tough en no nonsense. The vibe is basically you vs a psychopath in the wild.

I'll always be more scared of humanity than any savage animal in the wild.

This had me on the edge of my seat the entire time in the best way
