pretty cute movie! not the best and the scares were super predictable and lame but i liked the setting a lot and the sweet little orphan sister besties :( also i’m glad annabelle got to do more in this movie she’s a cutie patootie

As I’m watching the Conjuring Movies in Chronological order it’s nice to see the origin story of how everything happened before the doll was possessed.

This prequel gets everything right atmosphere, storytelling, & raw fear. The performances are excellent, especially the young cast. The farmhouse feels alive with dread. The film’s uniqueness lies in its emotional weight it’s the birth of evil wrapped in sorrow & sacrifice.
