hmmm mixed feelings (ATJ is the only reason i watched this)

So I have to start this off with saying that this movie was absolutely beautiful. The cinematography was outstanding and I love the way they filmed it on theater stages and in theaters themselves. The ending was bad until I understood it. Anyways ATJ IS FINE AS HELL OML. 7/10

9.5/10 I’m beginning to think I will simply fall in love with any movie Kierra Knightly is in, I love the way the movie is done as though it is a play and Aaron Taylor-Johnson is scrumptious with a mustache

Wow, so cinematic and beautiful. I watched for Aaron Taylor Johnson but I also liked the interwoven storylines and theatric transitions a lot.

watched it for aaron taylor johnson and he did not disappoint ill tell you that 🙏 every second of this movie was visually stunning (love how it was filmed like it’s a play) but plot was just alr. anna was annoying and the third act of the movie (amadeus vibes btw) felt rushed?

The tension, excellent acting and smooth transitions keep the attention throughout the entire viewing.
Well, the costumes, play with light and theatrical scenery can be considered as a one more reason to watch this movie.

The staging was absolutely beautiful. Who did the set and lights on this movie because they are so talented it’s ridiculous.

So amazing that it took my breath. The mix of theatre and cinema was phenomenal and so true to the core of the whole story. There was magic in every second. I felt every emotion true the play of the actors from boredom, lust, love, betrayal, suspicion, madness, forgiveness…

Super sad movie. I wish it had a happy ending. Filmed oddly with lots of bouncing around Definitely would give the average person a headache. In some scenes, it was hard to tell what was real and what wasn’t. A lot of imagery. I personally did not like the theatrical film style.

J'ai pas kiffé la façon dont c'est tourné même si c'est un choix artistique, la part trop dans tout les sens on se perd et on comprend pas grand chose

I didn’t appreciate how they portrayed Karenin. In the book he clearly lacks affection and you can somehow understand Anna’s yearning for Vronsky’s love. But in the movie, you can’t really sympathize with her and what she does.
