Anatomy of a Fall

All this over an instrumental cover of a 50 cent song ?

that dog scene needs a trigger warning

Shocked that this was the winner of the Palme d'Or. So many missed opportunities to tell a more gripping, socially fascinating or critiquing story. Plot choices that don't seem to make sense, and a takeaway message that is vague at best and nonsensical at worst.

Oscar worthy performance by the dog

The acting is phenomenal, it feels like you’re watching a family go through this tragedy. Really enjoy the hints of mystery behind it. Not even the audience knows how it happened. The audio from the fight being played in court with the flashback is such an outstanding scene.
