American Fiction

One of the best movies of the year. It’s funny, sad, touching…just a mixed bag of emotions. The cast is exceptional, the score hits the moments in the right way, and the story is almost perfect. It pokes major fun at today’s cultural beats, but the end didn’t land for me. 9/10

Really enjoyed this movie. Laughed so much and it had a good message to it as well. I wasn’t sure at the start but it definitely grew on me as it got going!

This is so naturally funny throughout, just even on dialogue alone, which I think transitions well into extremely hilarious cringeworthy (in a good way) moments. I especially appreciated the satirical point it gets across clearly about the…

Loved how it just folds in on itself. Humorous, relational and shot beautifully. No weak spots on the cast.
