the story was absurd, so theatrical and not meant to be a descent biography at all, but if you've never had a lunch with mozart (like me and most people) and you fancy a very similar experience, here you go!!

cara que filme bonito. uma das poucas obras representantes do filme de gente sabida que presta.

Mozart really was a musical genius, and he accomplished soo much in his short life. Salieri was so dramatic for hating himself - he was still a great composer and there was room for both of them to exist together (commenting on the plot, I know it’s a fictional movie)

amazing pacing, acting, cinematography, and music (ofc). such a beautiful film, i want it engraved in my mind. can’t really think of anything i’d change. a really entertaining watch. such a good way to spend 3 hours.

very inspiring and def shows how anger and jealousy can take over your life

la tension qui naît de la jalousie est incroyable. Les idées tél que l’envie et la jalousie sont pleinement exploités et très profondes. La musique est plutôt bien exploitée en la décomposant . L’aspect lyrique amène de la profondeur au film
La fin est juste incroyable.

None of the characters felt very fleshed out to me, and I struggled to really connect with their stories

An interesting timeline in history of what was going on this is not in the movie but if you know your history revolution war was fight and won war of 1812 happened and America win napoleon timeline come and went amadeus 1823 man who invented christmas 1843 civil war started 1861

boringish

an excellent biography of mozart from peak to death! the costume and set design in this movie is phenomenal and the music throughout is beautiful.

For a full two hours, Amadeus is by and large a splendid film, lavish, exuberant, full of spectacle and vitality. But intoxicated by its own success, it unwisely chooses to go on and on, overstaying its welcome by a good half hour.

So great. The version of this personality and how the bad guy plays a roll is great.

this was stunning- the costumes, the dialogue, the set design, the music, the acting was all incredible. i struggled sitting through 3 straight hours but it was worth it; additionally, it wasn’t entirely historically accurate but again, it was worth it and stunning

Theatrical Cut - Remastered:

Perhaps the most aggressively the theme of jealousy has ever been portrayed in a film, ever.

Fascinating story, incredibly rich, also surprisingly funny. Characters just felt so deep and all the locations, and the world on a whole, feel so lived-in. The idea of obsession is so powerful throughout, the length people will go to for perfection, or even just being better than someone else.

The whole cast was fantastic, but wow - what a performance from F. Murray Abraham. So many layers to the character that he pulled off flawlessly. A seriously tremendous Best Actor win.

Another Best Picture winner watched, and loved - I knew the rough basis of the film, but it never played out how I expected, which is for the best. One I definitely want to revisit in the future.
