The CGI is atrocious, let’s get that outta the way. But this movie does not deserve the hate it gets. Great suspense and a dark, murky tone make this one worthwhile. Critics needs to get over themselves, this movie is actually good! A heartbreaking finish.

everyone is wrong. this is the best alien movie

What an absolute mess. From start to finish. Starting off by completely trashing the last two movies. Sigourney carried once again, but her character development and role was wasted. I can see why she wanted this to be her last in the Alien franchise. I can also understand why there was a mess behind the scenes, as in front wasn't any better. The dialogue and pace dragged on a loop. The score and visuals were mediorce compared to the last two. The story was boring, and I felt no real emotion, not even horror, and it got a little too creepy, not in an entertaining way.

my least favourite in the alien franchise by far, idk how its possible that the Aliens in this movie looked worse than the original when the first 2 hold up so well, I also found the story and stakes less interesting and by killing off the girl it made the 2nd film pointless 2/10

What were they thinking.

Nothing happens for the entire movie it’s the most boring film they could have made the only good thing is the ending and the biggest issue is how they ruined alien 2 overall 5/10

1. Killing off the other survivors at the beginning was such a dumb choice. It didn’t make any sense — like, what was the point of building up these characters and their relationships with Ripley in Aliens just to immediately kill them off? Like why spend all that time making us

Ça y est je peux enfin commencer à classer cette saga qui a des films qui ont quand même un poil vieilli. Ce troisième volet est, je trouve, plus tourné vers les intrigues humaines que les gros aliens à dégommer. On s’éloigne un peu de l’action Cameron, c’est plaisant ! 👩🏻‍🦲

Usually I wouldn’t criticise a movie from this era for its visual effects but they are majorly worse than that of the previous films. If I’m being honest I found this to be the most boring one so far, not that either of the previous were boring at all. Acting was good I guess.

I’ve mulled over this film for a few days, and I’ve settled on the fact that it’s not great. Unknowingly, I watched the fan edit, which does this film some favors, but it can’t fix its deep rooted flaws.

Story continuity is okay, I think, but this felt like a disjointed side quest. All the characters in this story come across as way over the top. The OG CGI is atrocious, but the fan edit helps. The score is mostly decent , but agin the fan edit helps here. The overall story feels excessive, drawn out, and muddled. I fail to understand the choice of this prison setting as it’s weirdly uncomfortable.

I could go on and on about how awkward this is, but I usually try to keep it short, and I’m afraid this review is already too long.

Anywho, it’s the worst of the original trilogy and probably the worst of them all together

Decent, definitely a different pace than 1 and 2. Umm, idrk what to say ab it tbh, i dont like the fact the people she saved in 2 are just instantly dead in this one, i mean bc of where she landed its probs for the best but yeah.
Weird idea of a planet prison.

Ripley has suffered more than Jesus Christ💀 as much as I dislike this movie being set in a world where it’s just a SA prison, I fear this has my favorite setting and story of the trilogy. Ripley somehow gets MORE badass and heroic. However, they should NEVER cgi the Alien… EVER…

I went into it expecting people to be overdramatic on how bad it is, and let me tell you, they were NOT.
The fuck was the Fincher.

THE FIRST SCENE JUST MAKES THE SECOND MOVIE POINTLESS! Awesome! Just actually a bad movie, cgi sucks, no plot holes necessarily but just a really annoying plot, bad writing, little redeeming qualities about this. Crazy Sigourny Weaver keeps agreeing to be in these.

I couldn’t believe what was happening at the beginning of this. Why would they completely ruin the ending of “Aliens” like that? Other than that rough start, I didn’t hate the movie as much as I thought I would even though it’s still no where near the level of the first two

Honestly the third films reputation is fascinating to me. For a first time watch, the direction Fincher took for Ripley’s character was a heart stopper. I haven’t seen the theatrical version but the special edition really fleshed out whatever story was provided. I also did not realize that the iconic scene with Ripley and the xenomorph was in this film. My optimism continues on for the series

This is a toss up and which is worse. 3/4. The whole concept of this one is stupid. Great actors with a terrible script and some some
Bad dialogue. No weapons so boring and drags on. Effects are syfy sharktopus level. 1/2 did so much better without cgi

Der bis jetzt beste Film der Reihe.
Das Alien sieht (meistens) super aus die Story um Ridly wurde gut zu einem Ende gebracht.
Das blöde ist das, der gesamt zweite Teil eigentlich keine Berechtigung mehr hat zu existieren.
