So confession: I mixed up Airplane and Airport and spent a good 20 minutes waiting for the jokes to start.

As for the movie itself, it took a while to get rolling, but most of what was involved in the build up felt necessary to pay off. If you can make it through the first half, you’ve got some real gold in the second half.

Based on a novel from 1968 although it has enjoyable scenes as an old 60s/70s style film the biggest problem with the film is that in the 2 hour and 13 minute screen time almost half of it is filler dialogues and scenes of created subplots that won’t conclude on the picture.

Took me 54 years to finish this movie

Travel back to a time when you used to be able to smoke on a airplane.

For the times, great flick! The music was amazing, cinematography was 👌 🔥 Campy yes, but they surely made a classic! This is Hollywood at its historic finest!
