This was so much funnier than I expected. From a marketing perspective, I loved every second of this. Love that it’s not overwhelming filled with basketball references and focuses on building a brand around the potential of an incredible athlete.

9.5 - a movie made exactly for me. I’m a sports fan, who has sports marketing degrees & work experience, & loves dramatic & funny “dad” movies dripping in nostalgia. The stakes aren’t as high as it seems but I expect I will rewatch this on lazy Sundays for the rest of my life.

Really really great. A fun business/marketing/sports film so you’ll definitely enjoy this if you’re into any of those sort of movies. Great cast too. Falls just a hair short of a “love” rating for me

Exactly what it needed to be. No political agenda or woke bullshit. Just a Damon, Affleck, Bateman masterclass that focuses on the brilliance of the basketball shoe and the art of the deal.

Great movie. Everybody knows how the story ends, but Ben Affleck’s directing alongside the stacked cast’s acting manages to make the film intriguing. Also fire soundtrack🐐

Air
I enjoyed it very much, but I’ve expected/wanted to be a more epic final than the actual, like a montage that sums up the blowing up of the Air Jordan. That’s why it gets a like and not a love. Overall it was a great cast and I loved the marketing strategies.

‘Air’ does an amazing job at telling the story behind the invention of ‘Air Jordans’ and the guy behind the deal, Sonny Vaccaro. The pacing was well done, every scene felt important to the overall composition of the plot. The use of parallelism in Act II made it feel methodical.

Really enjoyable movie. Made the mistake of seeing it at an Alamo Drafthouse and my food just never showed up, so that soured the mood a little. But still liked the movie a lot. Don’t go to Alamo Drafthouse

7.9/10
Put off watching this for a while because I didn’t think a movie about shoes would be entertaining but I was wrong in that assumption.
The cast was stacked and every big name star gave incredible performances. Surprisingly entertaining and had some great comedic timing.

Fantastic movie. Stacked cast that work effortlessly well together. Compelling story. And a great non-Michael Jordan movie about Michael Jordan and his shoe brand creation. Very good. 10/10

Much more respect for MJ after this movie. Crazy how long Jordan’s have been THE shoe.

a very strong like but not quite a love. matt damon’s king monologue started to give me the ick towards the end but otherwise i think he is a fucking marketing genius.
