Beyond bad, I don't even want to write a review for it. It isn't a horror or a thriller, more so the opposite of an antidepressant. Pretty sure the whole thing is by AI, shame it's not credited. I hope this gets deleted when AI grows conscious. Blumhouse needs a new motherboard because their catalogue is to the brim with these regurgitated repeat recipes.

Very surface level. This story wasn’t really thought out before they filmed. I can tell what they were going for but it definitely fell flat.

“Afraid” taps into modern anxieties with an eerie premise and unsettling moments, but fails to fully deliver on its potential. Strong atmosphere and ideas are held back by uneven pacing and underdeveloped characters, leaving a sense of tension that never quite explodes. A solid 6
