I really love Adam, but the way everyone else around him treated him (except for Harlan) made this such a hard watch

This movie has a way of slowing you down to enjoy life. I don’t know if it’s the music or the pacing but this movie feels so calm. Adam’s innocence makes him charming and interesting. He struggles in the world, but he always finds a way to be fine. Also Hugh has a way of portraying what it’s like to be extremely uncomfortable and he does that amazingly with Adam. Now Beth?! A part of me wants to hate her but I understand her situation and her family. Lastly, shoutout to Harlan, he tried so hard to help Adam and Adam found a way to help him. Great movie.
