This started off as a very intriguing true crime documentary and had potential to be one of my favorites, but had an extremely underwhelming ending. By incorporating the two charged with the crime into the documentary, it took away from the mystery of what happens because you know they aren’t in jail. 3/4 of this film was actually really good and had me with a lot of questions, it was just ended poorly. Overall a solid 7.5/10

a great documentary that just shows how horrific the case was. the husband did not deserve to go in such a way, but most importantly, the children never should have experienced such traumatic events.
molly and tom are unreliable narrators and make me question the masked truth.

The only people who really knew what happened are the people who are there. Watching this I feel as though there were so many missing pieces to the story we are being told and there were a lot of back and fourths. I truthfully think both sides were bad and NO ONE was innocent.

Do doubt they did it. And I actually hated that they gave any space to that psycho ass person Molly. She should be in mental hospital. Poor children.

Didn’t believe a word that Molly and Tom said. Sick fuckers. Kind of disgusted that they were given the platform they were for this. Those poor kids :(

Molly wanted these children and was not going to stop until she had them. Why was she telling other moms about how she gave birth to them? Weird. I think she made Jason go to the doctor for anger to premeditate the murder. These children are the victims, not her. I think Tom having previous FBI work also made it premeditated, and it was disgusting that they asked for a lesser sentence for him because of his FBI background. I do agree with someone else who said they didn’t like that Molly was talking during it because it gave away the mystery of what happened, because we knew she wasn’t in jail. I hope Jack & Sarah find peace and healing. 7/10

So she sat on evidence that might have given her the self defence angle from the get go, then gave it in the appeal and still the kids’ statements saying they never witnessed any violence is taken into account??? What is this ???

I’m just so happy the kids had such a supportive family. Thank goodness. I just find it so difficult to believe Molly and her dad if they cared for them kids they would not speak about them this way no way. It became evident Molly is simply obsess with them children.

I honestly don’t know what to believe in this story. but jason’s kids did not deserve how they were treated, and he didn’t deserve to go out that way. also tom pisses me off

This was crazy because both sides’ stories could’ve been played off as “oh they’re brainwashed”, so it’s up to your own deduction of which side to believe. This was interesting having both the kids and Molly and her dad in this and each telling their stories. I definitely think both Molly and Jason had their own issues within the relationship and they both added fuel to the fire but who knows what really happened the night he died. Those poor kids.
