A Deadly American Marriage

This started off as a very intriguing true crime documentary and had potential to be one of my favorites, but had an extremely underwhelming ending. By incorporating the two charged with the crime into the documentary, it took away from the mystery of what happens because you know they aren’t in jail. 3/4 of this film was actually really good and had me with a lot of questions, it was just ended poorly. Overall a solid 7.5/10

a great documentary that just shows how horrific the case was. the husband did not deserve to go in such a way, but most importantly, the children never should have experienced such traumatic events.
molly and tom are unreliable narrators and make me question the masked truth.

The only people who really knew what happened are the people who are there. Watching this I feel as though there were so many missing pieces to the story we are being told and there were a lot of back and fourths. I truthfully think both sides were bad and NO ONE was innocent.

This was crazy because both sides’ stories could’ve been played off as “oh they’re brainwashed”, so it’s up to your own deduction of which side to believe. This was interesting having both the kids and Molly and her dad in this and each telling their stories. I definitely think both Molly and Jason had their own issues within the relationship and they both added fuel to the fire but who knows what really happened the night he died. Those poor kids.
