Blue Velvet

i understand its a david lynch film, but these types of films really dont sit well with me. they just threw away the ear plot not even a third of the way into the movie. rape scenes are too much for me in any movie. it was my main problem with A Clockwork Orange as well

Probably didn’t get a lot of it since this is my first Lynch film, but I really did not like this at all and thought most of the performances were terrible :/

I think I’ll need a rewatch, but overall I loved the metaphors Lynch uses in Blue Velvet — you can see many of them later in Twin Peaks. He was truly a mastermind. 🌹💙

This is what happens when you have unchecked mommy issues

i couldn't really get into the first half of the movie, but the second half was action packed. it was a visually stunning movie and has a gorgeous soundtrack. i loved the ongoing motif of the song blue velvet by bobby vinton.

Weird ass film but it’s 100% worth a watch
